I work with schools and school districts to improve and develop inclusive, relationship-based, therapeutic educational programming. With many years of experience structuring and maintaining special education classrooms, collaborating with general education environments, working with administrators, and supporting parents and families, my consultancy brings expertise and knowledge through the levels of the system. I bring an orientation toward relationship-based therapeutic approaches and interventions, which can encompass other approaches such as behavior intervention plans.
I have developed and refined an approach to counseling in schools called student-centered group counseling. Student-centered group counseling is an effective and evidence-based approach, and may be especially appealing to school counselors struggling with student engagement levels and resistance to change.
